370. An adult who was accommodated prior to 1 july 1975 and who but for section 369 would be relieved wholly or in part from payment for his accommodation, shall retain his right to relief, notwithstanding that section, but to his monthly income shall be added 1% of the amount by which the total value of his property of his family’s property, as the case may be, exceeds the exemption allowed for social aid on 1 July 1983. The contribution income of an adult, once determined, is then increased by 1% of the amount by which the value of his liquid assets exceeds the exemption allowed for social aid on 1 July 1983.
In calculating the total value of the property of an adult or his family’s property and in calculating the liquid assets referred to in the first paragraph, the amounts received by the adult under any reconciliation program for Duplessis orphans or the value of property acquired out of those amounts is excluded.
